At Walking Shadow Theatre Company, we believe that the core of our artform is more than the text, the actors, the stage, or the design (although those things are important!). At its core, we believe that theatre is a shared experience with other people.
Whether you’re attending a digital play, participating in an online puzzle event, or simply engaging a friend in artful conversation, in this strange time of social distancing, we’ve been inspired by all the ways people have found to stay connected with each other.
And just as we did with Beowulf, we will continue to find ways to share new experiences with you. But first, we need your help.
We’ll be honest. These are tough times. Due to the coronavirus epidemic, Walking Shadow had to suspend all of our in-person events, including Red Mayor, Cabal, and our 16th Anniversary Party. And we’re not alone. Nonprofits throughout the state are struggling.
This is why GiveMN is hosting #GiveAtHomeMN from May 1-8. This weeklong event is a celebration of Minnesota’s generosity during tough times, a call to help the organizations that make our state a great place to live, work, and play.
And just like with Give to the Max Day, there are bonus prizes you can help us win!
Please consider scheduling a donation for Walking Shadow to help keep our organization healthy during this difficult time, and to ensure that our programming is able to continue as soon as it may safely do so.
We look forward to seeing you again (when we can)!
